You might have noticed that we have chosen April Fools’ Day to release the Rotary Module. It’s not an April Fools’ joke. We don’t think “Foolish” and “Fools” are negative words, they represent the passion, persistence and purposefulness that resonates with Maker Spirit. That’s why we are starting this #StayFoolishKeepMaking campaign. Share your seemingly foolish maker stories, with an immense amount of passion, a bit of craziness and a pinch of humor. Maker stories are worth telling！

Indeed, Snapmaker does share some common values with Apple. We are on a mission to bring industrial experiences of digital manufacturing to consumers, by consumers, we mean everyone. The same path that Apple had taken to make PCs accessible and easy-to-use for everyone. Though the difference is that we have modular hardware and open-source software and firmware.
It has been almost 10 year since the great innovator Steve Jobs went to meet his Maker, while “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish” remains one of most popular mottos for those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, even if their ideas might sound foolish in the beginning.
In the maker community, we have seen people making wonderful things that we would never have imagined. It might sound foolish to spend hours or even days for a crazy idea, but it’s been proven every single day that “learning by doing” is the best way to master new things.
Inspired by those pioneers, the makers in Snapmaker have created digital manufacturing tools in a non-traditional way. We are not trying to replace the giants in the 3D printing industry, laser engraving industry and the CNC machining industry where they have much more experience. Instead, as makers ourselves, we knew a versatile industrial-quality and consumer-friendly machine that can be easy-to-use and space-efficient for a home workshop is what people had been waiting for. That’s why we have created the 3-in-1 modular machines, Snapmaker Original and Snapamaker 2.0. Now we have taken a step forward to create a unique tool for 4-axis rotary carving and engraving, Snapmaker 2.0 Rotary Module, calling all the makers to start a new adventure in a new dimension. Public pre-order will start on April 1st, mark the date!

Stay foolish – if you see that you’re going to lose your job soon, buy a SnapMaker as I did last year. Once you get unemployed, you would keep making, learning and discovering and would never get depressive! At least this is my case. For a couple of months since I lost my job, I’m more busy at home than I was at work during my last months there. I learned a lot! Digital sculping, for instance: now I can carve portrait bas-reliefs of real persons, due to CNC option of SnapMaker. Basics of pottery glaze chemistry: now I can perform permanent marking on ceramics and glass surface with the laser option of SnapMaker, not only in black, but with different colors. To be able to continue my robotic project, I learned CAD, and now I’m making very strong parts from a low-melting nylon filament, due to precise 3D printing option of SnapMaker. I never thought before that being unemployed would be such a fun!
And now I have no problem to make a good gift for my friends and relatives: lots of ideas and possibilities!
Once the Covid restrictions are lifted, we will launch with my wife a family photography business, offering some additional products like laser engraved or wood carved portraits – all that due to endless possibilities offered by SnapMaker.

Hello innocent Fools. I live in the city of CHUPE: Tequila, Margaritas, Beer, birria, tacos, etc. When I was a little boy I believed in Santa Claus, in The Three Wise Men, in the Child God. Now that I am a Big Boy, I believe in naked Women, in Play Boy and nothing else. Those SNAP MAKER guys are innocent little Fools kids who make up their Rotary Module, the 3-in-1 modular machines, Snapmaker Original and Snapamaker 2.0. And this lie for fools too: ” create a unique tool for 4-axis rotary carving and engraving, Snapmaker 2.0 Rotary Module, calling all the makers to start a new adventure in a new dimension”. The only dimension I know is: The unknown dimension.
And I don’t know how many lies. That their grandmother believe their lies. Goodbye baby. Hasta la vista Baby (Terminator).
